Edit suggestion for photos with Galaxy AI

You can use the Edit Suggestion feature on Galaxy devices to automatically improve photos and videos. Galaxy AI analyses your content and suggests enhancements such as background blur, remastering, and removing reflections.
Access Edit Suggestion in Gallery

Step 1. Open the Gallery app > select a photo.
Step 2. Tap the Details icon.
Step 3. Tap any Edit suggestion to apply the enhancement.
Common Edit Suggestion features

Background blur
- Blurs the background to highlight people or pets in the foreground.
Note: Suggested when the subject is clearly detected and the photo is not in portrait mode.
Remaster
- Improves resolution, brightness, and colour balance.
- Lets you compare before and after results.
Additional Edit Suggestion options
- Erase reflections – Removes reflections and fills the background.
- Erase shadows – Removes unwanted shadows.
- Remove moiré – Smooths unwanted patterns in images.
- Long exposure – Enhances motion effects in videos or motion photos.
- Colorise – Adds colour to black and white images.
- Star trails – Adds light trail effects to night sky photos.
- 24 hr time-lapse – Creates a short video from landscape shots over time.
- Highlights – Generates a short clip from dynamic video scenes.
- Super slow-mo – Creates slow-motion video effects (only for supported recordings).
Notes
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, and MP4.
- Available suggestions vary depending on the photo or video content.
- Some features appear only when the device is charging and after capturing specific content.
- Results may vary depending on image quality and AI processing.
- UI and feature availability may differ by device, OS version, and region.
